This work can and should be considered as a homage to the ceramic totems of Ettore Sottsass. It was driven by a process of randomization which is the actual innovative twist to this kind of operation: each totem was made during one single visit to a thrift store with parts available at that moment.
The intent is to produce added value through the lightest possible design operation: grouping the objects by compatibility of shape, size and color. The assembled totems should be percieved as something much more valuable than the mere sum of their valueless single parts.
